Mastering the Call to Action

Digital Advertising in Dubbo means nothing if you do not know the best ways to use your Call to Actions or (CTA's), because a Call to action may possibly be the easiest way for you to develop a lead. It can make or break depending upon how weak or strong your CTA is, and so I wish to give you a few tips to make sure that you are doing the best you can to grow your brand and produce those all-important leads.

Wording

Really easy, stay clear from commonly used words that are going to make you seem desperate or like you are pushing for a sale. For example, selecting between the words, 'buy' and 'shop' as a CTA, one might imagine that they each mean the same thing. But you must understand that many people on the internet usually avoid commitment, therefore subconsciously even there is a propensity for consumers to think that the word 'buy' is locking them into something, whilst 'shop' is a way for them to learn more relevant information. The point I am attempting to make is that you really must think of the wording and avoid words that have unintended effects.

Shape and Colour

It may seem unusual, but Shape and colour of your CTA can affect its effectiveness. In the world of Digital Advertising there have been a lot of reports into the idea of style and its affect upon a person's perception, and essentially one theory claims that curves are the most suitable way to go. So, if you intend to try and optimise even more, think about making the button for your call to action curved, rather than a square.

Now, colour, this is an additional area that there are a few theories on. Some people will have you believe that green is wonderful because it means 'go', but to stay away from red because it is 'stop', or that blue is calming so it will make customers more relaxed ... In the end there really isn't any definitive evidence to suggest one option over every other, so just select what works best for your concept. One thing that I will discuss though is that you should understand the font size and colour-- If you want your digital advertising to be most helpful in the Dubbo area, it is a smart idea to try and make it different from the rest of your content, but don't go too crazy.

Location

Where your call to action is set is quite crucial to digital advertising success.

All that I suggest by this is ensure that you don't have it tucked away in a corner somewhere, or that you have way too much text that is complicating the Call to action.

Eventually it all comes down to identifying the combination that works for you, remember your wording, shape, colour, size and positioning of your brand's Call To Action, and when you bring all the components together just think easy and think about your consumer.
